JCJ Holiday Resources

Passover Family Haggadah

The first Haggadah included here is an abbreviated version of the JCJ Haggadah.  It is meant for young families.  While it includes all the major rituals, its shortened form will work well for younger children.  It also includes a variety of new songs english Pesach songs, and Japanese translations of many of the prayers and traditional songs.

The second is a pdf of our full new Haggadah

Passover Cookbook

Food helps to make Passover special.  Here are the recipes (with a number of additions) that were featured in the Passover foods Master class offered by our rabbi.

Selling Hametz

If possible, all hametz – food not acceptable during Pesah (Passover), or materials containing such unacceptable food – should be destroyed or given away before the holiday begins.  Should this be impossible, the hametz may be stored in such a way that we are sure not to use it during the holiday and its actual ownership is transferred to a non-Jew until the holiday ends.

Please complete this form and return it to the JCJ by April 14.

The URJ in the United States has a useful page on Passover home rituals.  It includes recordings of a number of the important blessings.  BTW all the other blessings utilize the same melodies.
