Membership Categories
Regular Membership: This is the most common category and covers
individuals and families working in Japan. Monthly fee: ¥12,500 per individual
plus ¥1,500 for each dependent member over 18. This is the only JCJ voting
membership category.
Service Membership: Junior diplomats, Military personnel, teachers in local schools. Monthly fee: ¥5,500.
Junior Membership: Single, under 30 years. Monthly fee: ¥3,500.
Student Membership: This category is for single students studying on a full-time basis, with no income. Limit: One year. Initiation fee waived. Monthly fee: ¥2,000.
Notes
Memberships are subject to a one-time ¥20,000 initiation fee (non- refundable) and a ¥20,000 deposit (refundable) as well as bi-annual assessment fee (equal to Monthly fee) for building maintenance and staff bonus.
Meals, High Holiday tickets, and other costs may be credited to your membership account, payable monthly. Members pay less than guests in all cases.
